Multipurpose Furniture for Decorating Small Therapy Offices
Multipurpose Furniture for Decorating Small Therapy Offices
Trying to decorate a small therapy office? One of my favorite tips is to choose multipurpose furniture pieces. Here are my go-to multipurpose furniture ideas for therapists, along with a few examples.
C-Tables for Your Therapy Office
I love using a C-table next to a therapist chair when there’s not enough room for a desk. The table can serve as a side table for the therapist’s water, coffee, and a note pad during sessions and then convert into desk space for paperwork or tele-health sessions.
Bookcase Desks
If you have room for a desk or a bookshelf, but not both, consider a bookcase desk. These combo pieces are an aesthetically pleasing way to display your books and still have room for a workspace. Here’s a high end and budget version I like!
Cube Bookshelves
A cube bookshelf that doubles as a side table – placing a small bookshelf next to your therapy armchair or sofa – gives you surface area for a lamp, plants, clocks, drinks while also providing helpful book storage in your therapy office.
Lamps with Built in Side Table
These work great next to either a therapist chair or client’s sofa. These lamp tables give just enough room for a drink and/or a clock without taking up extra floor space.
Storage Ottomans for Your Therapy Office
Another great multipurpose furniture piece is a storage ottoman. These are especially great for storing toys, books, office supplies, tissues, clock batteries, lightbulbs, etc.
